40.0; Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an entry level Media Prep Technician. Ideal candidates should have an Associate's degree within 1-2 years of lab experience and is comfortable working in a strictly support/preparation role. Responsibilities Prepare pharmaceutical buffers, agar plates, and tissue culture media for lab operations in accordance with formulation documents, SOPs, and good lab practices. Record weights, pH, and other parameters accurately and legibly on formulation worksheets. Review formulation worksheets completed by team members for accuracy and completeness. Conduct daily inventory checks of stock solutions at designated customer locations and reorder supplies when levels are low. Communicate with customers via the Media Prep Team distribution email. Order raw materials and supplies through the company's purchasing system and managed inventory program. Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping, calibrate and clean lab instruments and equipment regularly. Follow guidelines and rules set by the Media Prep Lab Lead. Requirements Associate degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent laboratory experience Math and algebra skills Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently and organize work activities Familiarity with laboratory practices and aseptic techniques (preferred) Experience in biopharma settings (preferred) Data extrapolation and reporting skills (preferred) Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 44 lb and moving carts Must be able to perform algebraic calculations and determine molarity and percentages autonomously System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
