Carlin- Gas Mechanic II (Tech 5 or Higher)

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Gas Mechanic II (Tech 5 or higher) in our Carlin Surface Maintenance department. Responsibilities:

Inspect, repair and maintain a diverse light vehicle fleet Troubleshoot and repair electronic engine controls Diagnose and repair engine failures as needed Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical issues as needed Complete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of light vehicles and support equipment as needed Maintain shop areas, tooling and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferred Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required Experience repairing light vehicles and support equipment preferred Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required Lift at least 50 lbs. required Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required Good written and verbal communication skills required The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
