Full Job Description Raceway Car Wash Pay Range:

$27-$33/hour

12-24 months before promotion eligibility Position Summary The Level 2 Technician (Chemical Tech II) is a skilled and trusted operator who has mastered tunnel chemical systems and performance. This role requires proficiency in volumetrics, tunnel setup, and diagnosing and resolving chemical or wash-quality issues. Level 2 technicians are capable of independently running tunnels while maintaining consistent wash results and operational excellence. They also support team development by mentoring apprentices and sharing operational knowledge. Key Responsibilities Apply structured problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve recurring tunnel and wash system issues Manage water quality by diagnosing and correcting hardness, TDS, pH, and RO efficiency issues Perform full tunnel setup including chemistry, sensors, and equipment calibration Execute accurate volumetric and titration testing and train others on proper procedures Support apprentices and update SOPs when process improvements are identified Maintain chemical cost per car within ±5% for at least 3 consecutive months (across 2 sites) Maintain ≥80% accuracy in work orders and chemical logs Maintain zero safety violations and ensure proper PPE usage Performance Expectations Demonstrate full independence in tunnel operations Consistently maintain wash quality and chemical efficiency targets Meet cost control and documentation benchmarks Successfully mentor developing technicians Meet all training benchmarks prior to advancement consideration Company guidelines. Maintain tools, test equipment, and other Company materials and assets in a professional manner. Report directly to the Facility and Maintenance Chemical Manager. Other duties as requested by supervisor. Qualifications A self-motivated and creative problem solver with excellent critical thinking skills who adapts quickly in a dynamic environment. 2-year experience working in any mechanical field i.e., automotive, plumbing, electrical. Car Wash experience wanted. 1 year car wash experience Basic knowledge of most hand and power tools. Valid Driver's License Required with clean MVR. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb to be able to work from ladders. Will require proper coordination and motor skills to work with power tools.
