Arencibia's operating and maintenance function is in the Lehigh Valley, PA area with additional executive and engineering offices in Denver, CO. As a Process Technician, you will be involved in taking responsibilities for effective operation of various process equipment including but not limited to: gas analyzers, flow meters, pressure sensors, control valves and pumps. Additionally, you will be actively involved in assisting in commissioning of the process equipment during start up, customer gas analysis and installation of test equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Testing and maintenance of various process equipment including, gas analyzers, flow meters, pressure sensors, control valves and pumps.
- Assist in commissioning of the process equipment during start up.
- Assist in customer gas sampling by commissioning and performing various gas testing.
- Assist in installation of the test modules for technology validation.
- Assist in creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the existing and new process equipment.
- Assist in preparing training documents to expand the core knowledge and capabilities to other departments in the organization.
- Willing to travel to the site for validation of the existing equipment, startup and technology validation.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Strong candidates will have:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience.
- 1+ years in related role.
- Prior experience in operating or servicing gas analyzers, flow meters, pressure sensors, control valves and/or pumps are preferred.
- Ability to take ownership and work in a collaborative, cross-functional and demanding environment.
- Ability to understand P&IDs, engineering and electrical drawings.
- Good understanding and hands on experience in using mechanical tools and instrumentation is required.
- Ability to learn and understand gas properties, perform standard mathematical calculations.
- Ability to summarize and explain data concisely and effectively.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions using a test-and-learn approach.
- Detail-oriented, data-driven approach to solving problems.
- Experience in cryogenic industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
