Development Technician Springdale, PA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Laboratory safety Laboratory equipment maintenance Analytical chemistry ISO standards Laboratory equipment calibration High school diploma or GED Laboratory compliance 1 year Instrument maintenance Associate's degree Safety protocol implementation Entry level Full Job Description As a Laboratory Technician onsite at the PPG Springdale R D center (Pittsburgh) - Substrate Protection Analytical Laboratory, you will support and conduct physical and analytical testing for PPG Tiers and Industrial customers. As part of this role, you will perform equipment calibrations and log results into specific software to distribute internally within PPG and externally to customers. You will report to the Automotive Tiers Customer Development Team Leader. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.
Core Hours:
M-F between 7 and 4:30pm Key Responsibilities Perform daily testing, calibration and analysis and interact daily with Customer Support Chemists interpreting results Maintain a safe working environment, wear all required PPE, and follow lab safety protocols. Perform physical and analytical test procedures relevant to online electrodeposition control parameters Execute testing and reporting according to mutually agreed upon timelines and goals. Perform daily lab maintenance activities and cleanups. Maintain documentation and standards required for
ISO 17025
certification. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with 1+ years of Lab experience Associates degree in a scientific discipline or previous experience running analytical instrumentation is preferred #LI-onsite PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
