Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Medical Gas Technician and become a vital part of ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of medical gas systems within healthcare facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medical gas equipment to support life-saving medical procedures. Your expertise will help create a safe environment for patients and healthcare professionals alike. Responsibilities Install, inspect, and maintain medical gas systems in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications. Troubleshoot and repair medical gas equipment using hand tools, schematics, and calibration techniques. Conduct routine inspections to ensure system integrity, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, service requests, and equipment history. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately. Perform calibration of sensors, regulators, and other system components to ensure precise operation. Collaborate with healthcare staff and other technicians to coordinate maintenance schedules and emergency repairs promptly. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance within a field service setting. Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines for medical gas systems. Experience working with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance records. Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and electrical or mechanical troubleshooting methods. Ability to operate hand tools, calibration devices, and basic computer hardware efficiently. Knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) standards related to medical gas systems is preferred. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and documenting work accurately.
