Job Description:
Our client is a private equity backed energy company. We are seeking a Corporate Strategy Analyst to support strategic planning, commercial analysis, and corporate development initiatives. This high-impact role will provide analytical, financial, and market insights to senior leadership and play a key role in evaluating growth opportunities across the company's portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, corporate strategy, or energy-focused finance, with strong analytical skills and a passion for the energy sector. Key Responsibilities Support corporate strategy and business development initiatives across midstream, power generation, and regulated utility businesses. Develop detailed financial models and market analyses to evaluate growth opportunities (organic projects, M&A, joint ventures, partnerships). Conduct competitive intelligence, market research, and benchmarking across regional energy markets. Assist with preparation of board and executive-level presentations, investment memos, and strategic planning deliverables. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, commercial, and operations teams to assess project feasibility and alignment with growth objectives. Track industry and regulatory developments that may impact the company's businesses, including commodity markets, infrastructure expansions, and energy transition dynamics. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, strategy consulting, private equity, or a similar analytical role. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills. Demonstrated interest in energy markets (midstream, utilities, power, or upstream). Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field). Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required; experience with data visualization tools a plus. Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-ready materials. Key Attributes Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong business judgment. Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and the ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and working closely with senior leadership. Team player with strong interpersonal skills and professional presence.
