Chemical Dependency Technician (CDT) Serenity Foundation of Texas - Fredericksburg, TX About Us Serenity Foundation of Texas is a nonprofit substance use disorder treatment organization with over 40 years of service. We provide detox, residential, outpatient, and prevention services across Texas. Our mission is to serve individuals and families regardless of their financial situation while maintaining high standards of care, safety, and compliance. Position Overview We are seeking compassionate and dependable Chemical Dependency Technicians (CDTs) to join our team at our Fredericksburg residential treatment facility . This role is essential in supporting clients through their recovery journey by providing supervision, structure, and encouragement in a safe and therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to clients in a residential treatment setting Monitor client behavior and ensure safety at all times Conduct routine checks, including rounds and room searches as required Assist with client admissions, discharges, and orientation Facilitate or assist with group activities as assigned Document client interactions and incidents accurately and timely Enforce program rules and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients Support clients with daily living activities and transportation as needed Communicate effectively with counselors, nurses, and leadership Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or related field preferred Must be able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Strong communication and observation skills Ability to manage stressful situations calmly and professionally Must be able to pass background check and drug screening Work Schedule Full-time and part-time positions available Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required Benefits (Full-Time Employees) Competitive pay (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 12 paid holidays 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Why Join Serenity?
