About Samson Extracts Samson Extracts is a leading CBD isolate extraction facility committed to delivering the highest-quality hemp extracts with strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Chemist to support laboratory operations, product development, quality testing, and analytical work. This role is responsible for performing routine chemical analyses, maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with cGMP regulations, assisting with method development, and helping ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory testing and chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and solutions according to approved procedures. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Accurately document test results, observations, and laboratory activities. Assist with method development, validation, and troubleshooting of analytical procedures. Support quality control and quality assurance activities. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety procedures. Review data for accuracy and report out-of-specification or unusual results promptly. Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow SOPs, GMP, GLP, and other applicable regulatory or company requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and R&D. Help manage inventory of chemicals, lab supplies, and consumables. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related scientific field 1-3 years of laboratory experience preferred; internships or academic lab experience may be considered Working knowledge of standard laboratory practices and safety procedures Experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, or similar preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office required and laboratory data systems preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills Familiarity with regulated environments such as GMP, GLP, ISO, or FDA-regulated operations Experience in troubleshooting instruments and analytical methods Understanding of chemical handling, storage, and disposal requirements Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Ability to work safely with chemicals, laboratory equipment, and PPE Work Environment Laboratory-based role with exposure to chemicals, instrumentation, and manufacturing or production support areas Must adhere to all safety and compliance requirements Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Opportunities for growth and development Opportunities for overtime when needed
