The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting complex chemical analyses, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting quality control processes. Candidates should possess strong laboratory experience and expertise in various analytical techniques, including spectroscopy, and chromatography. Familiarity with
GLP, CGMP, FDA
regulations is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Perform chemical analyses using techniques such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), spectroscopy, and ICP-MS. Conduct wet chemistry procedures to support testing of client samples. Calibrate laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers and chromatographs to ensure accurate measurements. Maintain compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), CGMP, and FDA regulations during all testing activities. Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately. Support method development, validation, and transfer activities for analytical procedures. Assist in troubleshooting analytical instrumentation and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Test raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products per USP and other methods. Ensure laboratory safety protocols are strictly followed at all times. Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field. Proven laboratory experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR), ICP-MS and GC-MS. Familiarity with GLP standards, CGMP guidelines, and FDA regulations governing pharmaceutical or biotech laboratories. Experience performing testing of peptide products and biological products. Strong understanding of quality control processes, and validation protocols. Prior experience in a regulated environment involving chemistry testing is advantageous. Experience establishing analytical methods based on AOAC, USP and other technical documents. Excellent documentation and communication skills A team player with positive attitude who will enthusiastically embrace a fast-paced start-up environment. Previous experience working with different types of products and compounds is a plus. The person must be legal to work in the US. We do not sponsor work visas. Must pass criminal background and drug test prior to employment. Must be fluent in English. The candidate must be proficient using MS Word and Excel.
Physical requirements:
must be able to lift at least 20 lbs, use computers, work standing up for long periods, able to read and write procedures and comprehend FDA government requirements.
