Senior Chemist

Senior Chemist Job Description The Senior Chemist will work closely with platers to ensure the correct chemical additions are made to each plating bath, monitor and maintain all tank and wastewater treatment parameters, aid in troubleshooting bath chemistry, and maintain an inventory of lab equipment and supplies. The role also involves ensuring laboratory instruments are in good working condition. Responsibilities Develop procedures for the analysis of different components in plating baths. Create and maintain logs and determine an appropriate schedule for routine analysis of plating baths. Perform routine analysis based on the schedule. Review, analyze, and approve results done by lab technicians. Essential Skills Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory techniques. Experience with plating processes. Proven experience in process improvement and troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with titration. Experience working with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) or Inductively Coupled Plasma - Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) and Spectrophotometry. Work Environment The position requires working on the manufacturing floor, utilizing various lab instruments and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
