Contract on W2 About the Role Join a cutting-edge gene therapy nanotechnology team focused on advancing targeted delivery platforms. This role is centered on designing and developing ligand conjugates and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems for nucleic acid delivery. You will play a hands-on role in bioconjugation chemistry, nanoparticle formulation, and analytical characterization to support next-generation therapeutics. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and optimize bioconjugation reactions (antibodies, peptides with small molecules or polymers) Prepare and purify conjugates using LC-TOF and ÄKTA systems Formulate targeted and non-targeted lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating nucleic acids Utilize microfluidic or T-junction mixing for LNP formulation Perform surface conjugation for targeted delivery systems Conduct analytical characterization using DLS, Zeta potential, RiboGreen assays Support assay development (BLI, fluorescence microscopy, chromatography) Evaluate stability and performance of ligands and nanoparticles Maintain electronic lab notebooks and document SOPs Required Qualifications MS + 2 years or BS + 5 years in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field Strong hands-on experience in bioconjugation chemistry and reaction optimization Experience with lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation and characterization Proficiency in DLS, Zeta potential, RiboGreen assays Experience with purification tools such as ÄKTA or chromatography systems Solid understanding of reaction kinetics and biomolecular interactions Proficiency in MS Excel Preferred Qualifications Experience in Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) development Exposure to microfluidics-based nanoparticle formulation Familiarity with analytical tools such as Prism or JMP Experience working with RNA/mRNA or nucleic acid delivery systems
