job summary: Join a top-tier global pharma leader in South San Francisco as an Associate Scientist. This is an incredible opportunity for an early-career scientist to join a high-performing Translational Safety & Risk Sciences team. Operating 100% onsite in a state-of-the-art pathology lab, you will play a vital role in developing specialized tissue-based assays to advance life-changing therapeutics.

South San Francisco, California job type: Contract salary: $28.00 - 30.33 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Develop and implement single and multiplex immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) assays. Utilize various imaging modalities and perform digital image analysis to deliver critical project data. Collaborate with Pathologists and Scientists to evaluate target expression and preclinical model development. Support cross-functional teams with assay development for target qualification and biomarker discovery. Manage data organization and documentation within laboratory information systems and databases.qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree OR a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of scientific experience. Hands-on immunohistochemistry (IHC) laboratory experience in an industry or research setting. Proficiency with instrument-based staining workflows (e.g., auto-stainers). Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.Preferred:
Degree in Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline. Experience with Leica Bond, Ventana, Dako, or Intellipath platforms. Familiarity with multiplex IHC, immunofluorescence, and digital pathology.skills:
