Associate Scientist Location:
Thousand Oaks, California (On-site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated scientists who demonstrate a strong curiosity for research and a commitment to learning in a collaborative laboratory environment. Our team values hands-on technical ability, clear communication, and a disciplined approach to experimental work supporting cutting-edge small molecule chemistry programs.
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and analyze biochemical and cell-based assays in accordance with established protocols and standard operating procedures. Maintain and prepare mammalian cell cultures, reagents, and consumables to support genome editing, assay development, and assay deliveries. Document all experimental procedures and results in an electronic notebook, and report findings to the project team using data analysis platforms. Communicate progress, issues, and experimental results to project teams, demonstrating reliability, organization, and a collaborative approach.
Required:
Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree and 4 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of experience. Foundational laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture and familiarity with established biochemical assays. Demonstrated skills in following standard operating procedures, executing experiments with discipline, and effectively documenting results. Excellent communication skills, ability to ask clarifying questions, and a positive, collaborative approach to team-based scientific work.
