Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Chemist to support manufacturing operations through hands-on laboratory testing, process analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure product quality and resolve process-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform wet chemistry testing (titrations, pH analysis, stock loss testing) Prepare and test raw materials using established methods Analyze process solutions and collaborate with Production/Engineering on root cause and corrective actions Maintain accurate lab records, reports, and testing schedules Investigate part and process-related issues Maintain and update lab standard work documentation Support continuous improvement initiatives and team-based problem solving Assist with training and provide occasional off-shift coverage as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with chemical processing and mechanical testing techniques Background in manufacturing, quality, or materials Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, PWA specifications, MCL Manual) Experience with lab instrumentation such as ICP-OES and AAS Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
