6-month contract with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion to permanent employment Overview A growing personal care and cosmetics manufacturer in the southwest Chicago suburbs is seeking an Analytical Chemist / Lab Technician to join its Quality & Analytical team. This is an entry-level to early-career opportunity ideal for recent graduates or candidates with laboratory experience looking to grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus primarily on routine testing of raw materials and supporting analytical laboratory operations to ensure product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform routine analytical testing on raw materials Utilize instrumentation such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and other analytical techniques Prepare standards, reagents, and solvents for testing Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established schedules Conduct daily quality control checks of analytical methods Analyze and interpret laboratory data and document results accurately Assist with method validation and troubleshooting Support investigations and special projects as needed Maintain laboratory documentation and ensure compliance with health and safety standards Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, R D, and Operations teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related scientific field (required) Entry-level candidates welcome; 1-5 years of laboratory experience preferred Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Excellent communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working in a manufacturing laboratory environment Additional Notes Candidates ranging from recent graduates to experienced Lab Technicians or Chemists are encouraged to apply While this is currently a 1st shift role, future permanent opportunities (if available) may be on 3rd shift (11pm-8am) INDBHSimilar remote jobs
