Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 6 (Salaried)
Position Description:
The Laboratory Specialist III in the Department of Surgery Oncology at the University of Louisville will perform the following essential duties: Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow (manage staff schedules, workload distribution and shift coverage). Develop, implement and maintain SOP's, including biosafety, chemical and radiation safety standards. Maintain lab schedules, coordinate projects, and manage daily task prioritization. Ensure compliance with institutional, local, state and federal regulations along with maintain accurate records for audits, inspections and safety reviews. Animal management including breeding, genotyping, animal sacrifice, tissue harvest, and IACUC management. Also coordinates work on the animal models Flow, MSD-ELISA, IRE and CyTOF staining. Human sample collection and management. Maintain oversight of all lab equipment. Oversee ordering, stocking, and tracking of reagents, supplies and consumables. Manage laboratory and procurement budgets. Provide guidance on laboratory techniques, instrumentation and workflow optimization.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$79,540.00
Target Compensation Minimum:
