Formulation Chemist Formulation Development, Operational Support Team Description As part of Global Formulation Development function, conduct cross-indicational formulation development activities with a focus on product launch excellence and regional support for herbicide and fungicide products. The incumbent will support the advancement of lab activities for the development, registration and manufacture of new formulations for Crop Protection as well as provide support for existing product portfolio .
Key responsibilities will include:
Design and implement detailed, often complex, formulation R D programs consistent with approved business cases for active ingredients and formulations Execute formulation R D projects, both regional and global, to achieve company objectives and communicate project status through technical reports and presentations Design, conduct and interpret experiments and studies to advance formulation development while ensuring registrability and manufacturability of the developed products Analyze and identify variables and deviations in samples, procedures, and equipment and then recommend changes if necessary Prepare and evaluate experimental formulations using various formulation equipment and procedures Evaluate formulations using standard physical, chemical and biological methods Operate and maintain a variety of formulation equipment Utilize existing and implement new formulation and application technologies within a development program Participate in the scale-up and manufacturing launch of the developed products Provide technical and commercial support after-market launch
Qualifications Minimum Experience Required:
B.S. in a scientific discipline such as chemistry or biology) and hands-on practical experience in an R D environment Demonstrated record of achievement for formulation research and development from discovery to commercialization phases Proven ability to lead, plan, coordinate and complete research projects on difficult problems with cross-functional teams Track record of generating new innovation and application of cutting-edge technology Serious safety focus, attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills Capability in training and supervising newer members of the team, as and when needed Interest in self-development through continuous learning Mechanical aptitude and some knowledge of engineering principles Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Assets:
