$35-$40/HR Role Summary The Analytical Research and Development Chemist will work with an assigned project team in the laboratory to analyze and develop HPLC and GC methods for assay, impurity, dissolution, residual solvents testing, and particle size distribution of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, and finished dosage forms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform method development, method validation, and stability testing, including report writing, for various dosage forms including tablets, hard gelatin capsules, oral/topical liquids, oral suspensions, powder for oral suspensions, and nasal products with minimal supervision Support the Product Development team in developing new products Identify and characterize unknown impurities in drug products and drug substances Independently perform analytical testing and troubleshooting to achieve desired results Conduct elemental impurity testing using ICP-MS and ICP-OES Troubleshoot analytical issues and recommend solutions Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and reports Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field required; Master's degree preferred 3-10 years of experience working as an R D Chemist within the pharmaceutical industry Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, particle size distribution, and related analytical techniques Experience with pharmaceutical method development, method validation, and stability testing Ability to write technical reports suitable for regulatory submissions with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds Work is primarily performed in a laboratory environment involving chemicals, reagents, and solvents www.onboardusa.com Apply Today!
