Union County, New Jersey Summary:
Responsible for conducting chemical and physical analyses of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications. This role involves performing quality control assays and utilizing standard laboratory practices and instrumentation in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products using established analytical methods. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as analytical balances, pH meters, HPLC, UV-Vis spectrometers, ICP-MS, and polarimeters. Support the validation of analytical methods as required. Assist in drafting and reviewing method validation protocols, reports, and test method procedures. Prepare comprehensive laboratory reports following completion of analyses. Provide technical and analytical support to the management team as needed. Review and approve laboratory reports generated by other team members. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related STEM field with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Experience working in an analytical laboratory environment. Advanced knowledge of analytical methods and laboratory equipment, including chromatography, NIR, spectroscopy, ICP-MS, and wet chemistry techniques. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate data entry abilities and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word. Training in cGMP practices.
