Job Description
Location (mandatory): Pearl River, NY 10965. This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccines Early BioProcess Analytical Development group. The role supports early vaccine development through routine sample testing, analytical method development, and assay qualification studies. The position is highly hands-on, fast-paced, and focused on supporting high-visibility vaccine projects through extensive bench work.
Job Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, perform routine sample testing in support of vaccine development, including bioprocess and formulation development, release, stability, characterization, and adjuvant compatibility studies. Perform necessary calculations independently and discuss conclusions with the manager. Document experiments and analyze data from sample testing and method development/qualification experiments using an electronic laboratory notebook with guidance. Contribute to the authoring of technical documents including development reports, analytical test methods, and method qualification reports. Read scientific and technical literature to remain current in the field. Provide daily laboratory operations support. Set up and monitor experiments throughout the day and assist team members with their experiments. Participate in data analysis, meetings, and discussions to communicate results. Support a large sample testing workload in a fully lab-based environment.Skills:
Basic knowledge of antibody-antigen interactions and bioassay analytical techniques. Experience or familiarity with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and other plate-based testing methods. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based laboratory environment.Preferred:
Experience with plate-based immune methods, laboratory automation (e.g., Hamilton STAR), and electronic laboratory notebooks.Education/Experience:
BS or BA degree in Biology or a related discipline with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Ability to work a 40-hour work week, 8-hour days, fully on-site in a laboratory setting.Similar jobs in New York, NY
