Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary:
The Analytical Manager I is responsible for overseeing daily lab operations, ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow. This role combines technical expertise in an Analytical Chemistry lab with leadership responsibilities, supporting staff development, and maintaining high-quality analytical standards while providing excellent service to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise associates supporting multiple clients Work with HR for hiring, separations, and implementing corrective actions Provide excellent service to multiple clients and effectively communicate lab happenings and ensuring deadlines are met Provide client support for lab testing and maintenance Supervise daily laboratory operations, ensuring timely and accurate analytical testing, using validated test methods or methods in development Oversee laboratory staff, including assigning tasks, training, and performance monitoring Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a GMP lab Peer/pre-review worksheets, data and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to submitting to clients Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UPLC, pH, water activity, specific gravity) Ensure proper maintenance of lab equipment and calibration compliance is up to date Follow client provided SOPs and Test Methods with accuracy and precision Communicate with client on LIRs and investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results Manage inventory of chemicals, reagents, and lab supplies Support audits and inspections, including preparation of required documentation Collaborate with clients and management to improve lab efficiency and processes
Skills & Proficiencies:
Documentation in LIMS HPLC, GC, LC-MS, physical testing methods Effective communication with management and clients Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to lead and motivate a technical team Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry Minimum 2 years experience in an analytical laboratory Minimum 1 year in leadership An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
Compensation Range:
 $26 - $28 hourly (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset)
