Job Title:
QC Scientist I Job Description Join a dynamic laboratory team to perform routine chemical analysis on samples using established methods. Utilize analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, mass spectrometry, and TOC to execute testing. Prepare solutions, reagents, and mobile phases required for testing while maintaining precise documentation of results. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities Perform routine chemical analysis on samples using established laboratory methods. Execute testing using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, mass spectrometry, and TOC. Prepare solutions, reagents, and mobile phases required for testing. Document results clearly and maintain accurate records in accordance with internal procedures. Identify and escalate atypical, out-of-trend, or non-conforming results in a timely manner. Support routine instrument checks, calibrations, and basic troubleshooting activities. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness. Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines related to laboratory operations. Manage workload effectively to meet testing timelines and team priorities. Essential Skills Proficiency in HPLC and mass spectrometry. 1-2 years of experience performing chemical tests with chromatographic technique is preferred. Working theoretical knowledge and practical execution of HPLC and Mass Spectrometry. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or greater, in physical science, preferably in Chemistry. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered. Work Environment This position is most likely to be a second shift role after the completion of training. The laboratory environment adheres to strict safety and quality standards, ensuring a clean and organized workspace at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
