Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense. KBR is seeking a post-doctoral applicant to provide chemistry and data analytic support to AFIT Department of Systems Engineering & Management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the evaluation of advanced oxidation processes in groundwater remediation systems. Data will be collected from laboratory experiments and computational chemistry software platforms.
  • Assist with computational analysis of chemicals present in the water cycle. Determine transformation pathways and reaction mechanisms for chemicals of interest.
  • Participate in research group discussions, typically held each week.

Working Hours:
Standard Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Chemistry
  • 2+ years in environmental investigation and sampling (soil/water/sediment)
  • Knowledge of Density Functional Theory
  • Published journal article author
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science or Chemisty
  • 10+ years in environmental investigation and sampling (soil/water/sediment) Ready to Make a Difference?
