Analytical Associate

job summary: We're in search of a qualified laboratory contractor for execution of lab work including making prototypes, placing stability, and doing simple physical/chemical measurements. This work request outlines the scope of work and required skills. Seeking a lab contractor with experience in following lab procedures, lab safety and in formulation lab work, including weighing, combining and mixing powder & liquid materials. Experience with pH, viscosity, and rheology measurements is preferred but not essential.

Mason, Ohio job type: Contract salary: $40.00 - 48.24 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: The contractor will be responsible for executing lab work to make topical prototypes using a variety of actives and excipients. These prototypes are intended for comprehensive assessment of performance characteristics, including rheology, viscosity, stability, and scent release. Associate applies various chemistry techniques and scientific methods to characterize test materials to enable P&G experimental objectives.

Receives and follow instructions on assignment objectives with accuracy and great attention to detail.

Spends the largest percentage of time in the laboratory.

Associate analysts must use their analytical skills to understand how the collected data can affect business decisions, then prepare reports that detail findings and recommend solutions.

Instrumentation operation, sample analysis, Notebook documentation, reviewing reports, quality systems compliance.

qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related fieldTechnical deliverables include, but are not limited to: basic bench chemistry techniques (including pH, viscosity and particle size), sample preparation, chromatography, gravimetric analysis).Relevant experience (5-7 years) in an academic or industrial lab setting with emphasis on notebook documentation.

Ability to analyze and document various different types of data.

Ability to operate basic lab equipment including pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometer, etc.

Strong math skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
