Job Description

Responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities Comply with all EHS, Quality, Chemical Hygiene, and Radiation Safety procedures. Work within a small laboratory team to safely execute chemical production processes including daily use of strong acids, bases, and radioactive materials. Perform all required lab safety and radiation safety protocols including radiation exposure control, decontamination, and emergency response in the lab. Perform chemical calculations and prepare solutions including conversion of uranium oxide per technical procedures and drawings. Support other manufacturing processes including heat treatment, electrical testing, and quality control testing per technical procedures and drawings. Work with production planner and manager to meet manufacturing priorities. Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, and scrap reduction through process improvement projects. Purchase chemicals, lab equipment, and consumables. Inventory control and reporting for laboratory materials. Proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM field from an accredited university or college required with at least 2 years of laboratory chemistry courses.
