Oklahoma City, OK Position Overview and Responsibilities The Coon Lab is seeking talented and motivated postdoctoral scientists to join our team in the Cardiovascular Biology Research Program . The newly established Coon lab is NIH-funded and provides ample research space atop OMRF's research tower. We are studying the physiological relationship between vascular biomechanics and homeostasis, and how the disruption of these regulatory circuits contributes to vascular diseases such malformations, inflammatory vasculopathies, and dementia. We are multidisciplinary and welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds. Select applicants will be invited to discuss how their scientific interests and technical strengths might tie-in with our ongoing projects. We are currently working on two new mouse genetic models of vascular malformations, endothelial plasticity, and hemodynamic signaling pathways controlling vascular remodeling. Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; M.D.; or equivalent qualification. Demonstrated technical proficiency. Strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications Strong academic drive with a focus on research excellence. Commitment to publishing high-quality, impactful work.
