job summary: Direct Hire•Chemist is needed for a local client in the New Castle, PA area. Role will be in a lab environment analyzing. Hiring manager is looking for a candidate with Lab experience from the metals industry. Client is offering a base salary + 15% bonus and benefits start day one. 401 K, stock options and relocation assistance.

New Castle, Pennsylvania job type: Permanent salary: $72,500•92,500 per year work hours: 7am to 3pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Ensures the accuracy and reliability of laboratory analytical equipmentPerforms chemical analysis of final metal samples, chemistry samples, and product checksPerforms maintenance and standardization of analytical equipmentCompletes daily reporting tasks: production, hydrogen, chemistryPrepares samples for testingMaintains sample preparation equipmentWhen necessary, reviews and updates proceduresIdentifies and marks jominy samples in met lab personnel absenceAct impartially, display competency, and work in accordance to Quality System requirements.

Participates in ongoing analytical testing competency requirements and proficiency testingPerforms duties in the Metallurgy Lab, when requiredTravel (local, national, international) as required to customers, conferences and other facilities.

Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rulesMust have ability and desire to work well with others Performs other duties as deemed necessary The essential functions of this role include:working in a smoke free environmentwearing steel toe shoesworking in a non-temperature controlled environmentworking up to 5 hrs of overtime per weekworking weekends qualifications: Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 3 years of experience
Education:
Bachelors (required) skills: Laboratory (3 years of experience is required)Manufacturing industry (3 years of experience is required)Prior Solid Metal Chemistry (3 years of experience is required)
