Job Description

We are a rapidly growing research-focused biotechnology company specializing in high-quality peptide products. Our mission is to develop scalable, efficient, and cost-effective peptide production processes while maintaining strict quality and research standards. We are building out internal capabilities to handle peptide formulation, lyophilization, and process optimization — and are seeking a hands-on expert to help lead this initiative. Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Peptide Chemist with real-world experience in formulation, lyophilization (freeze-drying), and process optimization . This role is not purely academic — we need someone who understands how to take peptide materials from raw input through final vial production efficiently and consistently. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize peptide formulation protocols (buffers, stabilizers, excipients) Lead lyophilization process design and execution Improve production efficiency and reduce material loss during processing Establish scalable workflows for small-to-mid batch manufacturing Oversee or assist with purity validation and analytical testing (HPLC, LC/MS) Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) Assist in equipment selection, setup, and workflow design for lab/manufacturing environment Troubleshoot formulation, stability, or yield issues Collaborate on sourcing and quality verification of raw peptide materials Required Qualifications Bachelor's or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field Hands-on experience with: Peptide formulation or synthesis environments Lyophilization / freeze-drying processes Laboratory-scale or pilot-scale production Strong understanding of: Buffers, stabilizers, excipients Peptide stability and degradation Experience with analytical methods (HPLC, LC/MS preferred) Ability to work independently and solve real-world production challenges Preferred Qualifications Experience in peptide manufacturing or CDMO environments Background in scaling production processes Familiarity with quality systems and documentation practices Experience working with research-use or regulated compounds What We're Really Looking For A builder and problem-solver , not just a researcher Someone who understands both science AND efficiency A professional who can help turn formulation into a repeatable, scalable process Why Join Us Opportunity to help build a production operation from the ground up High-impact role with direct influence on company growth Flexible structure (consulting or full-time options available) Performance-based incentives tied to efficiency and output improvements How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your experience with peptide formulation, lyophilization, or manufacturing processes.
Bonus:
Include any examples of process improvements, yield optimization, or production scaling you've worked on.
