Job Description

job summary: Join a dynamic Product Development Science and Technology team as a Scientist III, driving parenteral drug product process development and commercial site scale-up. This hybrid role requires four days per week on-site at a premier facility in Lake County, IL, with the majority of your time dedicated to critical, hands-on laboratory work and manufacturing collaboration location: North Chicago, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $50.00 - 57.48 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Support the process development of parenteral drug products and biologics. Design and execute laboratory studies evaluating chemical and physical stability against solution conditions and physical stresses. Perform hands-on lab operations including filtration, mixing, and freeze/thaw cycles. Interpret results, draw conclusions from multi-stage experiments, and note deviations. Suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments to develop robust dosage forms. Write precise technical reports and collaborate closely with the manufacturing side.
qualifications:
Required Skills:
Core expertise in parenteral drug product development. Hands-on laboratory experience and execution of lab concepts. Proven experience designing and executing small-scale experiments (filtration, mixing, freeze/thaw). Ability to analyze multi-stage experimental data and write technical reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Office. Strong soft skills, specifically clear communication, motivation, and professional responsibility.
Preferred Skills:
Lyophilization experience. Nanoparticle development. Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) experience. MiniTab software proficiency.
