Quality Chemist (cGMP Laboratory)
Shift:
Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-11:30 PM | Friday 1:30 PM-9:30 PM About the Role We are seeking a Quality Chemist to join a cGMP-regulated quality laboratory environment. In this role, you'll support release, stability, and special request testing while working with a variety of analytical instruments. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented chemist who thrives in a hands-on lab setting, values quality and safety, and is eager to continue building technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Laboratory Testing & Analysis Perform release, stability, and special request testing on finished products and raw materials following SOPs, in-house test methods, and compendial methods. Independently execute laboratory methods and procedures with minimal supervision. Prepare samples and conduct analytical testing using established techniques. Instrumentation & Technical Skills Operate and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, including: HPLC and GC (required) LC systems Automated titrators FTIR, UV/Vis Spectrophotometer, Polarimeter Dissolution and Disintegration equipment Maintain proper documentation and ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained. Learn and train on new instrumentation and test methods as needed. Quality & Compliance Work in a cGMP-compliant laboratory environment . Assist with investigations related to Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, as assigned. Stay current with updates from USP, FDA, and other regulatory bodies . Support compliance with
ISO 17025
testing requirements. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement Adapt to changing testing schedules and laboratory priorities. Assist with training new laboratory personnel and document training per SOPs. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Safety & General Duties Maintain a safety-first mindset and comply with all laboratory safety requirements. Complete projects and assignments within established timelines. Perform other duties as needed to support laboratory and company objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (required). 2-5 years of experience working in a cGMP-regulated laboratory . Hands-on experience with HPLC and GC instrumentation (required). Proficiency with analytical techniques such as: Titrations Gravimetric methods Sample preparation Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain accurate documentation. Empower software experience preferred , but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds . Frequent use of hands and arms to lift, reach, push, and pull. Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and work on your feet in a laboratory environment. Why This Role?
