Job Description

The Role:
The Summer Intern - Analytical Chemistry will report to a Lead Analytical Chemist, contributing towards the completion of analytical projects by performing sample preparation including weighing, dissolution, filtration, dilution, and extractions, conduct routine laboratory analyses under supervision using analytical instrumentation such as:
GC, GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR
/ ATR-FTIR, NMR, TGA and DSC.
  • Assist with routine analysis using pre-defined SOPs, method development, optimization, and troubleshooting activities as needed.
  • Process and analyze data using instrument software and Excel, compile results into technical summaries.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and follow established SOPs and safety procedures.
  • Support raw material characterization and project-specific analytical requests.
  • Participate in team meetings and present project updates to the Analytical group.
How You Will Make an
Impact:
  • Work with Analytical team to develop analytical methods.
  • Run chemical analysis independently to generate qualitative and quantitative analytical data and derive actionable insights for R D, process technology and plant support.
  • Organize and present information to facilitate data analytics and identifying unusual results.
  • Operate required analytical instrumentation such as GC, GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR, NMR and TGA/DSC.

  • Two semesters of undergraduate analytical chemistry including laboratory work
  • A passion for chemical analysis using advanced instrumentation
  • Creative ability to solve problems using analytical chemistry
  • Ability to plan experiments, analyse data and report insights
