AOCformulations.com/en-amr . Based in Piperton, TN, the Chemist-Pigment Dispersions role will be hands-on with formulating, compounding and molding. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of chemistry, be mechanically inclined, creative, curious and passionate about creating and using chemistry and composite fabrication methods to solve real-world technical challenges. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Product development of pigment and thickening formulations for composites - end uses including but not limited to construction, automotive, recreation and infrastructure Support the Product Leader-Pigment Dispersions in design of experiments, formula development, preparing samples with hands on laboratory work, maintaining equipment, and authoring technical reports Seek out new opportunities for pigment and resin formulations Collaborate with customers and colleagues Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Composites Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymer Science preferred; Exception to this requirement may be made by fulfilling the desired experience and having a degree in the sciences 1+ years of experience formulating pigment dispersions and color matching 1+ years of experience formulating or compounding resins Hands-on laboratory skills Relevant experience in the following: Formulating or compounding unsaturated polyester and epoxy vinyl ester resins; Molding or fabricating composites; Color matching and weather testing Knowledge of physical testing and mechanical properties Proficient knowledge of MS Office and computer systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must have strong organization, project management, problem-solving, and time management skills Willing and able to travel 5% annually Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship What We Offer Competitive Pay + Bonus Paid Vacation and Holidays 401(k) with Company Contributions and Matching Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance - Effective the 1 st of the Month After Hire!
