Job Description

Key Responsibilities 1. Laboratory Testing & Assay Support Perform routine
PCR / RT-PCR
experiments according to approved protocols. Support assay optimization activities (reaction setup, cycling conditions). Assist in multiplex PCR testing for infectious disease panels. Prepare reagents, controls, and samples following SOPs. 2. Analytical Validation Support Assist in analytical performance studies, including: Limit of Detection (LoD) Precision / reproducibility Inclusivity and specificity testing Stability and interference studies Accurately record raw data and experimental observations. Follow CLSI-based protocols under supervision. 3. Documentation & Data Integrity Maintain laboratory notebooks and electronic records. Ensure data is complete, accurate, and traceable. Support preparation of validation summaries and reports. Follow document control procedures. 4. Quality System & Regulatory Compliance Perform all activities in compliance with
ISO 13485
QMS and internal SOPs. Understand the importance of intended use, claims, and validation alignment. Participate in internal audits as requested. Follow corrective and preventive action (CAPA) procedures when required. 5. Equipment & Laboratory Maintenance Operate and maintain PCR instruments and laboratory equipment. Perform routine equipment checks and log usage. Report equipment issues to senior staff. 6. Training & Development Complete required QMS, biosafety, and technical training. Learn regulatory requirements relevant to IVD development. Develop skills in experimental design and data analysis. Authority Authority to perform assigned laboratory tasks per approved protocols. Authority to report deviations, errors, or nonconformities. No approval authority for assay design or claims. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field. Experience 0-2 years experience in a molecular biology or diagnostic laboratory. Academic or internship experience with PCR is acceptable. Industry experience is an advantage but not mandatory. Skills & Competencies Basic knowledge of PCR principles and laboratory techniques. Attention to detail and good documentation practices. Ability to follow SOPs and instructions accurately. Willingness to learn and help regulatory and quality system requirements. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adjust to changing priorities. Ability to work well in a fast paced environment. Willingness to stay for extended hours and work on weekends. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and completeness of laboratory data Compliance with SOPs and QMS requirements Timely completion of assigned experiments Training completion and competency development Reporting Line Reports to: Senior Molecular Scientist / R&D Manager Working Conditions Laboratory-based role Supervised environment Start time: 9
