Job Description

Job Summary We are a specialized extraction and processing facility focused on the isolation, purification, and characterization of pharmacologically active compounds derived from plant materials. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Analytical Development Scientist to join our Analytical Research & Development team. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods for complex plant-derived compounds and formulations. Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses using advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques. Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, with a strong emphasis on Agilent systems. Conduct routine and non-routine analyses to support extraction process development, product characterization, stability studies, and quality control activities. Interpret analytical data, generate technical reports, and maintain accurate scientific documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable GLP, GMP, laboratory safety, and data integrity standards. Collaborate closely with extraction scientists, production teams, and quality personnel to support process optimization and product development initiatives. Support analytical method transfer, impurity profiling, and continuous improvement activities within the laboratory. Required Qualifications & Experience A degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Science, or a related scientific discipline is required. Postgraduate qualifications (MSc or PhD) with specialization in analytical sciences, mass spectrometry, or natural product chemistry will be considered highly advantageous. Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in analytical method development within pharmaceutical, botanical extraction, nutraceutical, or related industries.
Extensive practical experience with:
UPLC/HPLC
method development and optimization Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (QQQ-MS) Time-of-Flight (TOF) Mass Spectrometry Gas Chromatography (GC) Advanced expertise in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Agilent analytical instrumentation. Strong understanding of chromatographic separation science, mass spectrometry principles, analytical validation, and regulatory documentation requirements. Experience working with complex natural products, botanical extracts, and plant matrices is highly desirable. Proficiency with analytical software platforms, data processing, and technical reporting. Desired Skills Strong scientific problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities. Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams. High attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy and data integrity. Experience in stability studies, impurity profiling, and analytical method transfer is advantageous. Experience with peptide sequencing, peptide mapping, and related analytical techniques is considered an asset.
