Wet Chemist 1 Analytical Food Laboratories

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Wet Chemist I , you will perform a variety of wet chemistry and rapid tests, including Protein, Fat, Moisture, Salt, Ash, pH, and Water Activity, on various sample types. You will be responsible for generating accurate, defensible, and traceable test results while following laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements. Duties include but are not limited to: Perform wet chemistry laboratory tests following ISO/IEC 17025, NELAC, and other accrediting standards. Accurately conduct sample preparation, testing, and reporting of results. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including pH meters, Water Activity meters, Moisture Ovens, Safety Hoods, and Analytical Balances. Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and maintain detailed, traceable records. Identify and report unusual or unacceptable test results. Assist with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and lab cleaning. Work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory setting.SCHEDULE & POSITION
This is a full-time, onsite, 40 Hours per week position; Training Period (First 90 Days): Monday- Friday, approximately 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PM, Regular Shift (After 90 Days): Tuesday
- Saturday, 7:00 AM
- 4:00 PM.

The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely and without restrictions or sponsorship, have a science background, and a strong enthusiasm and passion for laboratory work and techniques; other qualifications include: Hold a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field and/or experience in a commercial laboratory setting Experience in a commercial laboratory setting is a plus! Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures. Comfortable working at a lab bench for extended periods; Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed. Ability to work independently and within a team; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.ABOUT TENTAMUS
