Job Description

Maintaining and troubleshooting mass spectrometers (LC
MSMS SCIEX 6500
), as well as preparing samples, analyzing data, and potentially developing new methods. These roles often require expertise in analytical chemistry, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Sample Preparation:
Preparing samples for analysis using various techniques, which may include extraction, purification, and derivatization.
Instrument Operation and Maintenance:
Operating and maintaining mass spectrometry instruments, including routine calibration and troubleshooting.
Data Acquisition and Analysis:
Acquiring data from mass spectrometers and analyzing it using specialized software, often including qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Method Development and Validation:
Developing and validating new mass spectrometry methods, or optimizing existing ones, for specific applications. Preparing reports summarizing experimental results, presenting findings to stakeholders, and potentially contributing to scientific publications.
Environmental Analysis:
Analyzing environmental samples for pollutants, contaminants, and other substances. Require a Bachelor's or Master's or PhD degree, with a strong background in laboratory techniques and instrument operation.
Strong analytical chemistry background:
Understanding of chemical principles and analytical techniques.
Proficiency in mass spectrometry techniques:
Experience with various ionization methods, mass analyzers, and data analysis software.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills:
Ability to identify and resolve issues with instruments, methods, and data.
Excellent communication skills:
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Teamwork and collaboration skills:
Ability to work effectively with other scientists and researchers
