The Role:
Just-Evotec is seeking a motivated and creative Senior Scientist I who is excited about expanding global access to biotherapeutics. The candidate will join a fast-paced, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team responsible for analytical testing. The successful candidate will develop and perform method qualification for potency assays, support early-phase CMC programs, and drive analytical strategy. The ideal candidate is skilled in experimental design, data analysis, and communication skills, thrives in both independent and team-based environments and is excited by advancing new technologies. This role also includes opportunities to lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor junior scientists. As a Senior Scientist I at Just-Evotec, you'll have the freedom to ask the hard questions, think outside the box, and find creative solutions that push us forward. What You'll Do:
Serve as subject matter expert for potency and immunoassays for early stage biotherapeutics across multiple platforms Perform method development, qualification, and routine sample testing Apply working knowledge of ICH, FDA, EMA, and USP guidelines relevant to analytical testing Participate in process development teams; may serve as analytical team lead and interface with internal teams and external clients Author and review technical documents including methods, qualification and development reports, and SOPs Present data to internal teams, clients, and at industry conferences Lead cross-functional teams and initiatives and junior team members Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of lab equipment; oversee reagent and consumable management Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, robustness, and compliance
Who You Are:
PhD with 3+ years of relevant industry experience, or BS with 10+ years of experience, with a degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, or related field Immunoassay method development and qualification experience GMP Testing experience Comprehensive knowledge of ICH/USP guidelines on analytical and potency methods Excellent communication skills; the ability to work cross functionally in a fast-paced CDMO environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality standards
Additional Qualifications:
Experience utilizing industry-standard applications (e.g., SoftMax Pro, JMP, Microsoft Office, ELN) Development of biolayer interferometry (BLI) or surface plasmon resonance (SPR) methods Knowledge of impurity methods for biotherapeutics Experience with compendial method testing

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $126,000 to $140,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual's skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
