POSITIONS
Division of Hematology/Oncology O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Join one of the nation's fastest-growing academic medical centers and help shape the future of hematology and oncology at UAB and the region. We are expanding during a period of significant institutional investment—offering exceptional opportunities for clinicians, educators, and physician-scientists ready to make an impact. The Division of Hematology and Oncology and the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center in the School of Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is conducting targeted recruitment for key leadership roles in addition to clinical faculty positions during a period of significant institutional growth and investment. Positions have strong institutional and departmental support and offer an opportunity to innovate in an NCI designated academic medical center. Specifically seeking applicants interested in Classical Hematology, Classical Hematology Section Lead, VA appointments, and Fellowship Program Director. Appointments will be at the assistant, associate or full professor level, tenure earning, tenured or non-tenure earning, commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an MD degree, and be board certified or board eligible in oncology and/or hematology. The Division is poised for rapid growth, with heavy investment from the Department, School, and the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center, and is committed to the growth of the hematology and oncology programs. Faculty have access to several outstanding interdisciplinary programs including the UAB CTSI, the Alabama Drug Discovery Alliance, and flagship programs in Genomics/personalized medicine, advanced medical imaging, outcomes and effectiveness research and survivorship, amongst several others.
