Clinical Research Medical Assistant / Certified Phlebotomist

Clinical Research Medical Assistant / Certified Phlebotomist Beach Physicians Medical Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant with a Phlebotomy Certificate to join our Clinical Research Department. This position plays an essential role in supporting clinical trials and research studies while providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

Recruit and screen potential study participants Coordinate and schedule research study visits Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical history Perform venipuncture and specimen collection according to study protocols Process, prepare, and ship laboratory specimens Maintain accurate source documentation and study records Assist research providers and coordinators with study-related procedures Educate participants regarding study requirements and follow-up visits Ensure compliance with research protocols, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality standards Maintain inventory of research supplies and equipment Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Medical Assistant certification required Current Phlebotomy Certificate required Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred Clinical research experience preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and patient service skills Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
