Neurona Therapeutics About Neurona Therapeutics Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco, CA, developing cell-based therapies for neurological diseases. Position Summary We are seeking a Preclinical Research Associate who will contribute to ongoing programs and help build new animal models to study modulation of neural circuits and support the translational development of cellular therapeutics. Key Responsibilities Process tissue for histology, including microtome and cryostat sectioning, immunohistochemistry, imaging, and quantitative analysis Follow experimental protocols and maintain detailed, accurate records Work with rodent models, including handling, dosing, surgical procedures, and tissue collection Analyze data and communicate results clearly to the team Conduct independent experiments and contribute to collaborative research activities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, including work with animal models OR Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with relevant research experience Experience working with neural tissue is a plus Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to contribute to a team Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills High level of motivation and passion for drug discovery and development This job description is not intended to be exhaustive and may evolve as business needs change.
