Principal Investigator (MD/DO) -
Clinical Research Location:
Gainesville, FL About the Opportunity Comfort Mind Center is seeking a licensed Physician (MD/DO) to serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) for clinical research studies at our Gainesville, Florida location. This position offers an exciting opportunity to participate in innovative clinical research while maintaining a flexible schedule. The Principal Investigator will provide medical oversight, ensure participant safety, maintain regulatory compliance, and work closely with research staff and sponsors to successfully conduct clinical trials. Physicians with backgrounds in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry, or related specialties are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Serve as the Principal Investigator for assigned clinical research studies. Ensure the safety, rights, and well-being of study participants. Review and approve study-related medical documentation and source records. Conduct or supervise participant screening, enrollment, and follow-up visits. Evaluate participant eligibility and provide medical oversight throughout study participation. Review adverse events, serious adverse events, and protocol deviations. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, HIPAA requirements, and sponsor protocols. Participate in sponsor visits, monitoring visits, audits, and regulatory inspections. Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators, sponsors, CROs, and site staff. Assist with participant recruitment and retention efforts. Maintain accurate and timely study documentation. QualificationsRequired MD or DO degree. Active and unrestricted Florida Medical License. Board Certified or Board Eligible. Excellent clinical judgment and patient care skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Preferred Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator. Clinical research experience preferred but not required. Familiarity with FDA regulations and ICH-GCP guidelines. Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry, Neurology, or related specialties.
