Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Principal Investigator based in Winter Park, FL.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Principal Investigator will be responsible for overseeing clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocols, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include reviewing study protocols, supervising study staff, ensuring data accuracy, and protecting the welfare of participants. The role also involves collaboration with sponsors, physician practices, and relevant stakeholders to achieve research goals effectively and ethically.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of clinical research processes, regulatory compliance, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines Experience with patient care and protocol review Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to mentor and train study staff Ability to perform Basic Life Support (BLS) assistance, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Medical degree (M.D., D.O.) or advanced degree in a relevant medical or scientific field Two (2) years of medically relevant experience Prior experience in clinical trials or research studies
