1st Benefit Eligible The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for collection and preparation of samples for pre-clinical research.Essential Key Responsibilities:
Become proficient in the identification, retrieval, processing and data collection associated with archived biological samples for research that meet project specifications. Maintain accurate records and proper documentation of project activities associated with all assigned studies. Develop competency in properly de-identifing study samples and become knowledgeable in the appropriate transfer of study data in compliance with all federal regulations and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines. Gain and apply expertise in the interpretation and transcription of complex medical terminology associated with research biospecimen annotations. Adhere to all relevant protocols and guidelines for sample handling, storage, and shipping of biological samples Complete annual training programs within the required timeframe Maintain strictest confidentiality Comply with all state, federal, professional regulations as well as company and departmental rules, polices, and procedural manuals Adhere to HIPAA, Safety and OSHA Regulations Perform other duties as assignedEducation:
Bachelor's Degree required, BA/BS science-related degree preferredExperience:
Experience working in laboratory or industry related fields Experience working in pathology laboratories desired Experience working in regulated environments with biological samples and processingRequirements :
A valid state driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Must have personal and reliable transportation Proof of current vehicle registration and personal automobile insurance Excellent verbal and written communications skills Experience with patient interaction Knowledge of basic medical terminology Ability to understand and abide byFood & Drug Administration:
Good Clinical Practice Guidelines Equipment :
