Job Description

Senior Sample Management Coordinator ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster. As a Senior Sample Management Coordinator at ICON, you will oversee the collection, tracking, and management of biological samples for clinical trials.
What You Will Do:
You will lead on clinical research tasks requiring technical depth, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating the collection, storage, and distribution of biological samples across clinical trials, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements. Managing sample tracking systems to monitor the lifecycle of samples from collection to analysis, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure proper handling, labeling, and shipment of samples according to study protocols. Providing training and guidance on sample management processes to project teams and laboratory staff. Generating reports on sample management metrics, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions to maintain timelines and quality.
Your Profile:
You will have a strong foundation in clinical research, with the experience to work independently and guide others.
Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, laboratory management, or a related field. Experience in sample management, laboratory coordination, or clinical trial operations, ideally in the clinical research or healthcare industry. Familiarity with sample tracking systems and database management tools, with strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
