Hematologist/Oncologist opening in Longview, TX 120 miles from Dallas; 65 miles from
Shreveport, LA Details:
FT, permanent position Join an esteemed Hematology/Oncology Team, a pioneering force in delivering exceptional multidisciplinary cancer care. With deep roots in the community, we are proud to usher in a new era of cancer treatment for East, Texas with the opening of our state-of-the-art Cancer Treatment Center in Fall 2026. This cutting-edge facility will feature approximately 32 infusion chairs overlooking a tranquil green park and healing garden, 18 exam rooms, and an on-site lab for convenient blood draws. The center will also be equipped with a two LINAC s to deliver external beam irradiation, a dedicated area to deliver theragnostic molecules, a 3.0 Tesla MRI, and PET Scanner. Northeast Texas faces a significant need for advanced cancer treatment services, making this role vital to supporting and improving the health of the growing community. With the department's reputation of clinical excellence, excellent primary and specialty medical specialists, skilled surgical providers, and robust support services, you will have the resources to make a profound impact in an area that truly needs your expertise.
Position Highlights:

Medical Center:
Affiliated with one of the largest Catholic Health Systems in the United States. The hospital is a not-for-profit, full-service acute care facility with 425 beds, serving as a regional referral center. The health system has primary care practices located in communities throughout Northeast Texas and operates currently four, soon to be five, emergency rooms in the regions with over 130,000 patient visits annually. Recognized as a leading Level III Trauma Center, Good Shepherd plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health and safety of residents from Longview and surrounding communities.
Qualifications:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology Must also possess an unrestricted Texas Medical License or be eligible to be licensed in the state of Texas
