Advertising/Posting Title Clinical Research Coordinator - OBGYN
Posting Summary The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences is looking for a clinical research coordinator to administer and coordinate research studies and provide research support as a member of a research team. This individual will recruit potential research subjects to clinical trials within the department while exercising judgement and sensitivity. They will prepare initial and ongoing regulatory submissions, continuously manage secure research data, and report to investigators, sponsors and other agencies. They will liaise with hospital providers and clinics at UVM Medical Center to recruit potential study subjects. They will also perform outcomes testing associated with OBGYN studies, and coordinate collection, processing, storage and shipment of human biological specimens. Prior experience as a research coordinator is desirable but not required for this role. Opportunities for foundational or supplemental training in the conduct of clinical research (depending on prior experience), as well as optional training in phlebotomy, will be available.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within clinical research required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
Effective interpersonal skills and organizational skills required.
Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
Desirable Qualifications Prior experience in clinical research.
Experience with face-to-face interactions with pregnant patients and their families.
Interest in or prior experience with integrative health or acupuncture.
Anticipated Pay Range $23-$25/hour
