Supervisor, Clinical Research - Medicine (On-site) Baylor College of Medicine - 3.8 Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $70,618 - $83,080 a year 13 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Summary The Clinical Research Supervisor for the Section of Epidemiology at Baylor College of Medicine will oversee the daily operations of clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements. This role will lead study coordination, data integrity, and the execution of high-quality research initiatives. The position will supervise clinical research coordinators and manages workload distribution to support efficient and compliant study conduct. Job Duties Oversees the daily operational execution of clinical research studies, ensures adherence to study protocols, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements. Manages, maintains accurately and complete study data, implements processes to support data quality, consistency, and audit readiness. Plans and coordinates study activities that includes participant visits, timelines, and deliverables to ensure efficient and timely study progression. Supervises and develops clinical research coordinators by assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing training and ongoing guidance. Evaluates and prioritizes team workloads to optimize resource allocation and support high-quality study conduct across multiple projects. Collaborates with investigators and internal stakeholders to address operational challenges and support successful study execution. Oversees coordination of research studies that includes observational and data-driven projects. Ensures compliance with IRB requirements, human subjects protections, and institutional policies. Collaborates with investigators and data teams to support study implementation and data processes. Monitors study timelines and deliverables to ensure alignment with sponsor expectations. Supports development of standardized workflows to enhance research operations. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Four years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree. No experience required with Bachelor's degree. Prior experience in a clinical research environment, supporting or overseeing multiple active studies. Familiarity with IRB processes, including protocol submissions, amendments, and continuing reviews. Experience coordinating or mentoring research staff, such as coordinators, students, or trainees. Proficiency with REDCap for data entry, database management, or reporting. Exposure to Epic or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems in a research setting. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills. Experience supporting patient recruitment, screening, and consent processes. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate meetings and collaborate across teams. Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced research environment.
