Environmental Scientist III/IV Alliance Technical Group life insurance, vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition assistance, 401(k), profit sharing, employee discount United States, Arkansas, Bryant 219 Brown Lane (Show on map) Jun 18, 2026 Description Job Summary / Objective The primary function of this position is to support our environmental, regulatory and water resources projects related to utility clients. Experience working on linear utility projects is required. Key disciplines will include stormwater management (development of construction SWPPPs, BMP assessment, overseeing stormwater inspections, etc.), Section 404 permitting, T&E evaluation, environmental sampling (multimedia). This position requires ability to manage projects and other staff and interact with clients to achieve project goals. Experience with routing new utility projects, Phase 1 ESAs and NPDES permitting preferred. Job Responsibilities Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction primarily for utility line projects. Support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and business development initiatives. Prepare environmental documents and necessary permit applications for utility lines. Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff. Complete complex environmental sampling and industrial site assessments. Work individually and in a team setting on stormwater related projects that require obtaining construction and industrial permits. Responsibilities will also include preparation of Notice of Intents, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and work associated with erosion and sediment control. Prepare NPDES applications for initial permitting, as well as renewal, and/or modification of existing permits. Prepare Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control Plans which could include field data collection and verification. Prepare technical documents, complete data analysis and review/edit the work products of other employees. Proficient use of MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook will be required. The desire and ability to learn other programs may be necessary. Support the environmental compliance efforts for municipal and industrial Communication with project teams, clients in the office and on-site and regulatory Participation in information gathering at industrial Personal management of time and tasks including clear communication with Other responsibilities as necessary in supporting the Alliance team. Travel required to client sites and project locations, estimated at 25% Pay Rate Starting at $70,000/annually Required Education and Experience BS Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Ecology, or related fields
Experience:
6 - 13+ years Preferred Skills Utility routing studies Stormwater management 404 permitting Wetlands delineation NPDES permitting Phase 1 ESA T&E Environmental sampling.
