Job:
The Lead Asset Management Specialist is responsible for closely working with the Asset Management Team to update and keep current laboratory systems in LIMS and CMMS and to schedule all calibrations, preventative maintenance (PM), and unscheduled maintenance at the FMI sites to ensure the efficient delivery of patient test results. Responsibilities for this role include planned maintenance, calibration, and repair oversight. The Lead Asset Management Specialist helps support capital projects as they pertain to all laboratory equipment and critical utilities. This position is responsible for updating and keeping current all maintenance of records and workflows in the CMMS (Maximo), as well as providing critical input in creation or editing of operational SOPs. This role effectively collaborates and support EH&S, Facilities Utilities as well as other functional areas such as Laboratory Operations, QA Validation, Automation, and R D in making sure the laboratory equipment is current and compliant. This role also manages and supports other Asset Management Specialists on a global level to ensure department alignment and harmonization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining a high-performing service support program (validated CMMS). Collaborate with Procurement and Facilities to maintain manufacturer and vendor service levels. Work closely with vendors to minimize downtime of laboratory equipment and optimize compliance with subsequent documentation and labeling of serviced equipment. Schedule installation, repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for instrumentation and laboratory equipment used by all laboratory functions. Initiate and maintain maintenance and calibration work orders and the spare parts inventory systems. Triage Asset Management service tickets for critical laboratory assets. Maintain calibration and service due dates in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to aid in patient processing. Assist in the creation of data reports and metrics for a comprehensive equipment lifecycle. Provide critical support to Facilities Asset Management during external audits. Other duties as assigned. Provides management, training and program support to Facilities Asset Management specialists globally. Will create Job Plans and or Work Instructions as needed
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or an equivalent level of professional education and/or experience 3+ years of experience working in a GMP validated environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Competency in Maximo or similar CMMS and LIMS Ability to: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including in written and verbal Work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor Prioritize and thoroughly follow-up on assigned tasks Be comfortable anticipating challenges before they arise and communicating them to the appropriate stakeholders Be process oriented, yet flexible Self-organize and operate effectively without significant day-to-day oversight, while staying tightly connected to key leaders and teams Creatively solve problems History of exceeding expectations and seeking continuous improvement Excellent customer service skillsboth upwards and downwards, as well, as outside the company Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data Commitment to FMI values: Integrity, Courage, and Passion The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Morrisville, NC is $$71,500 - $89,200 per year. The salary range is commensurate with Foundation Medicines compensation practice and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for Foundation Medicine's benefits. #LI-Hybrid
